Clockwork City was established by Chris Hurst, a Fellow of the Institute of Place Management and Association of Town and City Management (ATCM) Award winner. Chris has been helping to make great places for almost a decade and has significant experience with operational and strategic place-management projects, having run the national Town Team and Portas Pilot support programme for ATCM and the Department for Communities and Local Government, and worked previously for Birmingham City Centre Management and Retail Birmingham BID.

Guy Douglas is an expert in developing ‘Digital Places’. He supports the Future High Street Forum’s Digital High Street Advisory Board, and co-authored the Digital High Street 2020 policy report to Central Government in 2015. Guy leads on Clockwork City’s Connected Places programmes, and has a rich history of building strong partnership networks between public, private and third sector stakeholders. He has extensive place-management experience in both Fairbanks, Alaska, and Reading BID.

Xav Anderson is one of the leading digital business skills trainers in the UK, effortlessly blending his acting skills with his passion for helping build prosperous businesses and places. He has delivered training throughout the country to a range of businesses, with clients including LEPs, Borough Councils and Business Improvement Districts. Prior to joining Clockwork City, Xav was Commercial Relationships Manager for ATCM as well as Business Development Manager for Blachere Illumination.
